Emirates Announces Strategic Team Rotations to Boost Growth in Key Global Markets

Emirates has unveiled changes within its commercial teams across Europe, Africa, and East Asia, aimed at supporting the airline’s robust growth. These adjustments will strategically place emerging UAE National talent in pivotal markets to assist Emirates in meeting its short-term, medium-term, and long-term objectives by managing various challenges and seizing opportunities.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President, and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates said: “We take pride in developing exceptional Emirati talent within our workforce and are committed to supporting their career progression and advancing their leadership capabilities. Through the new rotation, six prospective leaders will be well-positioned to capitalise on opportunities and overcome industry challenges in their respective markets. I’m confident that our newly appointed managers will not only gain new experiences, but also use their existing knowledge and skills to support our current and future strategies as we continue to expand our global operations.”

The commercial team members who are stepping into new roles, effective immediately, include:

• Mohammed Alqassim, who moves from Country Manager in Cyprus to the same role in Cambodia.
• Ahmad Tamim, previously Country Manager in the Ivory Coast, now taking up the same position in Cyprus.
• Adnan Almarzooqi, formerly Commercial Support Manager in South Africa, now Country Manager in the Ivory Coast.
• Mohamed Taher, who was Commercial Support Manager in Egypt, is now Manager in Uganda.
• Sultan Alriyami, moving from Manager in Taiwan to Area Manager in Hong Kong.
• Nasser Bahlooq, formerly Area Manager in Hong Kong, now Manager in Taiwan.

Through its commercial outstation program, Emirates actively enhances the skill sets and expertise of its UAE Nationals across diverse roles. The program not only supports their professional growth but also facilitates the development of significant, long-term relationships with business partners and stakeholders throughout its network.
