Emirates’ Ongoing Commitment to Kenya
As Emirates approaches its 30th anniversary in Nairobi, the airline celebrates a legacy of connecting Kenya to the world. Since its inaugural flight in October 1995, Emirates has carried over five million passengers between Dubai and Kenya on its double daily routes.
In 2023, Emirates expanded its network through an interline partnership with Kenya Airways, enabling seamless travel to an additional 28 African destinations from Nairobi, including Mombasa, Kigali, and Kilimanjaro. More than 12,000 travelers have taken advantage of this partnership over the past year, benefiting from enhanced connectivity across the region.
In addition to its travel services, Emirates supports three Kenyan humanitarian organizations through the Emirates Airline Foundation. These include the Little Prince Nursery and Primary School, which provides education and rehabilitation for children; Alfajiri Street Kids, offering a safe environment and art therapy programs for over 200 children; and the Starehe Boys’ Centre, which supports academic and vocational training for underprivileged boys through four-year scholarships funded by the Foundation.
