The modernization project for all lounges in Germany is now complete, with the reopening of Emirates‘ Lounge at Dusseldorf Airport following a seven-week refurbishment. Spanning 700 square meters, the exclusive lounge area boasts entirely new features, including cream-colored leather seats, furniture, carpets, lighting, and kitchen equipment. With a capacity for 115 guests, it stands as the largest airline lounge at Dusseldorf Airport and among the largest Emirates Lounges in continental Europe.

This renovation marks the culmination of a substantial investment by the airline in Germany. Over the past five months, Emirates’ airport lounges in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich have undergone similar modernizations.

Volker Greiner, Emirates Vice President North & Central Europe, expressed the airline’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience for customers. The refurbishment of all lounges aligns with Emirates’ ‘Fly better’ brand promise and demonstrates dedication to passengers and airport partners in Germany.

The daily operations of Emirates’ Lounge at Düsseldorf Airport, opening three hours before the departure of flights EK56 and EK58, offer an extensive array of amenities. These include monthly rotating hot and cold dishes from renowned caterer DO & CO, with numerous vegan options, a complimentary bar service, and private shower rooms. Access to the lounges is granted to Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers, Skywards members with Platinum or Gold status traveling in Economy Class, and available for a fee.

The Düsseldorf Airport lounge, inaugurated in May 2009 as the 20th Emirates Lounge globally, is part of Emirates’ long-standing presence in the region. Since 2001, Emirates has operated two daily flights from Düsseldorf, employing a mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to connect the North Rhine-Westphalia region with its Dubai hub and over 140 global destinations. Notably, Emirates is the sole airline operating Dusseldorf with the double-decker A380 aircraft, offering a total of over 900 daily seats in a three-class configuration.

Emirates maintains 39 airport lounges worldwide, including seven in Dubai and 32 at major international airports. These lounges, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service, are among the various ‘Fly better’ benefits enjoyed by Emirates Premium Class customers. Additionally, First Class and Business Class guests in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg can avail themselves of the complimentary Emirates chauffeur service, facilitating seamless transportation to and from the airport.
