On February 10th, as the Lunar New Year ushers in the Year of the Dragon, Emirates invites its customers to partake in the auspicious festivities. Across Emirates lounges in Dubai,Singapore,Bangkok,Shanghai, and Beijing,travelers can immerse themselves in the festive spirit with specially curated menus and traditional customs. In-flight, passengers will receive symbolic ‘red envelopes’ and have access to an array of Mandarin and Cantonese blockbuster movies.

On select routes, Emirates treats its customers to delectable Lunar New Year desserts. First and Business Class passengers will savor a luxurious red velvet lychee cake, while those in Economy Class will enjoy a creamy red velvet lychee mousse. Additionally, First and Business Class flyers will receive traditional red envelopes filled with chocolate coins, symbolizing good luck and prosperity for the new year.

Emirates Lounges in Dubai will offer a variety of festive delights on February 10th. First and Business Class lounge guests can indulge in classic dishes like ‘Cheung Fun’ rice noodle rolls stuffed with dried prawn and scallops for breakfast, and Cantonese roast duck bao with plum sauce for lunch or dinner. Meanwhile, lounge patrons can enjoy a range of mouthwatering options such as poached shrimp dumplings, Chinese rainbow salad, and pan-seared Chilean seabass. Dessert options include mango coconut cake and black tea cake in the First Class lounge, and yuzu tartlets in the Business Class lounge. Additionally, Emirates’ unique ice-cream cart will feature gourmet Matcha green tea ice cream.

In Emirates Lounges in Singapore and Bangkok, guests will be treated to regional specialties like Chinese chicken sausage in lotus leaf and rice, and beef sweet and sour in Bangkok. Meanwhile, in Beijing and Shanghai, the menu will feature Gongbao Prawn with cashew nuts and sweet and sour mandarin fish.

Access to Emirates Lounges is complimentary for First Class, Business Class, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Skywards members, while other passengers can enjoy access starting from USD 160 for up to four hours before their flight.

Onboard, passengers can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with a selection of up to 21 Mandarin and 12 Cantonese movies, along with over 250 Hollywood movies featuring Chinese subtitles. A library of 115 Chinese albums and 1,000 songs adds to the celebratory ambiance. For those observing Vietnamese New Year, Emirates offers a selection of 7 Vietnamese movies to enjoy.
