Emirates concluded its participation at ITB Berlin 2024 with resounding success, attracting nearly 6,000 visitors who explored its latest offerings and initiatives. Throughout the three-day travel and tourism event, the airline hosted over 260 meetings and solidified partnerships with eight companies across Europe, including cruiseliner operators, tourism boards, and airlines.

The remarkable turnout at Emirates’ captivating stand underscores the appeal of its products and onboard experiences. The stand was thoughtfully designed, providing ample space for both engagement and business discussions.

Marking its highly anticipated return to ITB Berlin, Emirates unveiled its newest signature products, including the Emirates Premium Economy seat and the revolutionary First Class suite, debuting for the first time in Germany. Visitors had the opportunity to examine Emirates’ renowned features such as the First Class Shower Spa and the latest iteration of its A380 Economy Class seats, along with innovative onboard amenities like the newest generation A380 Onboard lounge.

Emirates also showcased its commitment to sustainability, showcasing sustainably sourced onboard amenities and products. Among the highlights was ‘air-crafted By Emirates’, a distinctive collection of luggage, bags, and accessories made from upcycled materials from retired aircraft, offering visitors a tangible glimpse into the airline’s eco-conscious initiatives.

Strengthening Partnerships and Facilitating Collaborations

Emirates continues its dedication to fostering tourism in key markets by establishing new collaborations with the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO), and Tourism Ireland. These partnerships not only support incoming tourism in these regions but also enhance the attractiveness of these destinations for Emirates’ customers.

In its ongoing effort to expand its European network, Emirates has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with ITA, Icelandair, and GO7. These agreements, to be implemented in the coming months, will improve connectivity and travel options across Europe for Emirates’ passengers. Moreover, they will facilitate seamless travel experiences, enabling customers to explore leisure and business hubs across Europe with convenient one-stop connections and streamlined itineraries.

Emirates reaffirms its commitment to Dubai’s burgeoning cruise industry through renewed partnerships with TUI and AIDA Cruises, which will contribute to the growth of Dubai’s cruise tourism in the upcoming seasons. Dubai boasts state-of-the-art maritime infrastructure capable of accommodating thousands of cruise passengers simultaneously.

At the ITB trade show, Emirates received a VIP delegation comprising notable figures like Kai Wegner, the Governing Mayor of Berlin; Franziska Giffey, the Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises; and Dieter Janecek, the Federal Government Coordinator of the Maritime Industry and Tourism. Emirates presented its newest Economy Class amenities and the renowned A380 Onboard Lounge, showcasing its cutting-edge products to both the delegation and the general public. Additionally, the Emirates stand had the honor of hosting His Excellency Mr. Srettha Thavisin, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.

ITB Berlin remains a significant platform for Emirates, representing its largest trade-fair presence outside of Dubai.
