Etihad Airways elevates festive spirit: Bringing cheer to the skies this holiday season

During this festive season, Etihad Airways is elevating the holiday spirit by serving traditional festive dishes at an altitude of 30,000 feet. From December 23 to 25, Etihad will present a special holiday menu across all cabins on over 30 routes within its network.

Anticipating to serve over 50,000 Christmas dinners during the three-day holiday period, the menu features delightful options such as roast turkey roulade, chestnut & thyme stuffing, herb & garlic chat potato, green beans, pumpkin with cranberry sauce, followed by gingerbread cheesecake with berries and chocolate garnish, a Christmas yule log with redcurrant, or warm Christmas pudding with custard and berries.

For those looking to add a touch of festive cheer to their beverage selection, gingerbread lattes will also be available.

Etihad’s E-BOX entertainment system will include a dedicated ‘Holiday Movies’ channel throughout December, featuring a selection of festive films such as Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish, The Holiday Dating Guide, and New Year’s Eve, among many others.

In addition to the in-flight festivities, Etihad’s Business and First class Lounges at the new Terminal A at Abu Dhabi International Airport will offer a festive menu along with themed mocktails and cocktails, including ‘Christmas Baubles,’ ‘Glogg’s on Ice,’ and a ‘Gingerbread Espresso Martini.’

With the recent opening of Abu Dhabi’s new Terminal A, guests can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with extensive check-in facilities, including biometric self-bag drop check-in desks, and dedicated services for Business and First class travelers. Family-friendly services include dedicated family check-in desks and themed activity kits for children in partnership with Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.

To streamline the check-in process, Etihad continues to offer City Check-In services and Home Check-In, allowing guests to complete their check-in and drop their bags ahead of time.

On December 31, 2023, Etihad will ring in the New Year with style, featuring countdowns, celebratory drinks, and props on all flights crossing midnight in the sky.

Eduardo Matos, Director of Customer Care at Etihad, expressed excitement about the holiday season, aiming to reconnect loved ones and provide guests with memorable experiences among the approximately 1.4 million people flying with the airline in December.

For those pondering the perfect gift for someone special, Etihad has unveiled new destinations, including Bali, Boston, and Nairobi, set to operate in the first half of 2024, making them ideal choices for a dream holiday gift. Etihad’s A380, featuring The Residence, a private three-room suite, offers an extraordinary flying experience, connecting Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow and, from April 2024, with New York’s JFK.

Moreover, the Etihad Guest Reward Shop allows members to redeem miles for a curated collection of gifts, ranging from tech and electronics to fashion, jewelry, beauty, fragrance, home furnishings, and travel essentials, simplifying the quest for the perfect present this holiday season.
