Etihad Airways, the flagship carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is responding to increased customer demand by expanding its flight services to key destinations in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. This recent surge in flight frequency results in a nearly 27% rise in weekly departures compared to the previous summer.
The airline is ramping up its flight offerings to various cities, including Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, Beirut in Lebanon, Colombo in Sri Lanka, and Kolkata and Bangalore in India.
These enhancements are integral to Etihad’s ambitious strategy of expanding flight options and frequencies, aimed at enhancing Abu Dhabi’s global connectivity and providing travelers with more flexible choices.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, stated, “These latest increases in flight frequency, coupled with our seamless connections at Abu Dhabi and the growing global network, provide our passengers with greater flexibility to travel to their desired destinations at their convenience. It also facilitates a more enjoyable visit or layover in Abu Dhabi as an integral part of their journey.”
