EU offers Slovenia 3.7m to promote tourist locales

The European Union has agreed to co-finance the promotion of top tourist locales in Slovenia.

This EUR 4.6 million massive project would receive EUR3.7 million from the European Regional Development Fund as announced by the European Cohesion Policy and the Government Office on Wednesday.

Such a call for the application and promotion of the topmost tourist attractions of this part of the world would motivate the development of 34 important destinations in Slovenia and an emphasis would be laid on promoting the foreign markets.

And the plan is to start promoting target segments and priority markets to improve the experience of globetrotters even further as well as to raise competitiveness of Slovenia regionally and also on an international basis.

And it is expected that the plan would go a long way in raising the number of foreign tourist arrivals and tourism revenue.

The leading tourist destinations in the nation have been beautifully defined by the national tourism development strategy for 2017 to 2021. And together they end up generating nearly 97.8% stays by tourists in Slovenia.
