EVA Air, a prominent player in the aviation industry and the official partner of the NBA’s Houston Rockets, proudly participated in the Filipino Heritage Night celebration during the Rockets’ home game on April 2. The event brought an exciting game-day atmosphere, featuring exclusive giveaways and engaging interactive activities for fans.
EVA Air President Clay Sun was in attendance, actively participating in the evening’s events, including the pre-game ceremony where he presented the official game ball and oversaw a special prize giveaway. During the game, the Rockets selected two lucky fans to compete in a timed, interactive challenge inspired by EVA Air’s pre-boarding experience. The participant who completed the challenge the fastest won a pair of round-trip premium economy tickets to the Philippines. President Sun personally awarded the prize on-site, sharing the celebratory moment with the crowd. The winner will have the freedom to choose from multiple destinations, including Manila, Cebu, and Clark, with EVA Air’s routes to these cities.

“We’re proud of our partnership with the Houston Rockets,” said EVA Air President Clay Sun. “As an airline deeply committed to connecting people across cultures, this partnership reflects our shared commitment to inclusivity and community. It was an honor to take part in this special celebration and highlight how we’re bringing the world closer together—on and off the court.”
Beyond the game, EVA Air set up an interactive concourse booth where fans could connect with airline representatives, explore new services, and participate in fun activities for a chance to win exclusive prizes. These included EVA Air-branded tote bags, miniature seatbelt keychains, and co-branded Rockets-EVA Air T-shirts. Fans also had the opportunity to purchase a special ticket package, which included a game ticket and a limited-edition Filipino Heritage jersey, featuring the EVA Air logo on the back.
“Partnering with EVA Air for our Filipino Heritage Night was a natural fit,” said Houston Rockets President of Business Operations Gretchen Sheirr. “Our shared passion for connecting people across communities made this an exciting opportunity, and we were excited to offer our fans a fun night highlighting Filipino culture.”
