The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is excited to announce its participation in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) exhibition, scheduled from April 3rd to 4th in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Together with representatives from six local tourism and hospitality entities, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Shahdag Tourism Centre, ATB aims to showcase Azerbaijan’s rich tourism offerings and cultural heritage to a global audience. Emphasizing the importance of the exhibition, Mukhtar Mammadov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Israel, also visited the booth.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the chance to delve into Azerbaijan’s diverse history, cultural customs, culinary experiences, and various tourist attractions, such as UNESCO sites, mountain-ski resorts, and vineyards, among others. Moreover, they can discover Azerbaijan’s ancient Jewish heritage, adding a unique facet to the country’s cultural tapestry.
As part of its presence at the exhibition, ATB will facilitate meetings with Israeli and other international representatives, as well as conduct interviews with media personnel to bolster Azerbaijan’s tourism initiatives and partnerships on the global stage.
Attendees can also enjoy tastings of traditional sweets and local wines, immersing themselves in Azerbaijan’s culinary delights.
With 23,903 Israeli citizens visiting Azerbaijan in 2023 and considering the robust flight schedule between Baku and Tel Aviv this year, a significant increase in visitor numbers is expected.
