Exciting News: The Design Tourist wins Bronze at NATJA Awards; Season Two Coming Soon

The North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) recently revealed that The Design Tourist travel show has clinched the Bronze Award in the Independent Travel Video category at the 32nd Annual North American Travel Journalists Awards Competition. This prestigious competition recognizes outstanding achievements in travel journalism, photography, and destination marketing, encompassing all facets of the travel industry.

One of the standout episodes from Season One, titled “A Restorative Retreat to the Mendocino Coast,” contributed to this accolade. Season One of The Design Tourist, comprising 12 captivating episodes, is available for streaming on various platforms including Amazon Prime, Tubi, Reveel, DBTV, Discovered TV, Canyon Star TV, and four other networks.

Led by the acclaimed travel journalist Karen LeBlanc, each episode of The Design Tourist delves beyond conventional tourist attractions to uncover the creative essence of a destination. From peculiarities and indulgent experiences to artisanal crafts and homemade delicacies, the show offers a unique perspective on each locale.

Excitingly, The Design Tourist is currently in production for Season Two, slated for launch in April.

Submissions for this year’s awards competition included a diverse group of journalists, publications, and destination marketing organizations from North America,” noted NATJA CEO, Helen Hernandez. “Selection of the winners by our independent panel of judges was particularly difficult this year because of the outstanding quality and broad range of articles, images and marketing campaigns submitted for consideration.
