Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Empire State Jazz Festival, set to dazzle at Discovery Green, Downtown Houston on Saturday, May 11, 2024! This year’s event, running from noon until 10 PM, will showcase leading local jazz talents and a stellar array of smooth jazz performers from throughout the nation. A share of all event proceeds will benefit the Victor’s Victors Foundation, aimed at providing musical instruments to young, aspiring musicians.

Hosted by Empire State Jazz Café, the hottest new live music venue and modern supper club in Houston, this festival is poised to offer an unparalleled smooth jazz celebration in the fresh air during the Mother’s Day Weekend. Nestled in the heart of Downtown at 1500 McKinney Street, the lush 12-acre Discovery Green will act as the perfect scenic setting for an entire day of enthralling performances by both acclaimed local and national jazz musicians, all supporting a noble cause.

The festival gates will swing open at 11 AM on May 11, with a full lineup of electrifying live jazz running from noon through to 10 PM. Attendees can look forward to performances from celebrated Billboard and Grammy Nominated Smooth Jazz Artists including Stephen Richard, Jelando Johnson & The Movement, and many others.

Founded by Allotey, a former NFL star and the mind behind both The Empire State Jazz Café and the charitable Victor’s Victors Foundation, the festival is a heartfelt initiative to unite the community through the vibrant rhythms of jazz and to celebrate Houston’s deep-rooted jazz and cultural heritage. This festival not only promises great music but also a family-friendly atmosphere that supports local youth via the Victor’s Victors Foundation.

Additionally, the Jazz En Blanc experience at the festival will feature a variety of vendors and an exquisite selection of Jamaican, Soul, and Creole dishes courtesy of Nyammings Fusion Bistro!

Early Bird general admission tickets are now on sale for $40 each, while VIP tickets, which include exclusive access to the VIP Area, seating, refreshments, and four complimentary cocktails, are available for $150. There are also VIP 4 Pack ticket bundles and VIP payment plans on offer at www.empirestatejazzfest.com. Proceeds from ticket sales will contribute to funding new musical instruments for local students through the Victor’s Victors Foundation.
