Experience iberian dining at giacco’s: tasca brings bold flavours and sustainable wines to london

Giacco’s in North London is creating even more culinary magic with its new residency! Starting December 9, 2025, beloved Giacco’s will be hosting pop-up restaurant Tasca, run by Chef Josh Dallaway and Sommelier Sinead Murdoch, who specialize in Spain, Portugal, and the South of France’s comforting and warm dining traditions.

This is the first time tasca is returning to London after its pop-up collisions all over the world and of course the great success at Câv in Bethnal Green earlier this year. Giacco’s, an Italian-inspired treasure masterfully designed by artisans from Milan and Florence, Leo and Danilo is the most fitting venue to host Tasca with its interface and innovative, one-of-a-kind packed menu! The residency promises to be one that will showcase audacious provisions and an outstanding wine line-up that will bring you the time of your life!

A Menu Full of Iberian-Inspired Delights

Tasca’s menu is a celebration of community, flavour, and traditional dining. Drawing inspiration from the tascas (informal eateries) lining the streets of Lisbon and Madrid, the dishes on offer focus on rich, bold flavours and hearty ingredients.

Food lovers can expect a variety of snacks to kick off the meal. Some highlights include Focaccia topped with Whipped Goat’s Curd, Cecina, and Guindillas, or Don Bocarte Anchovy Toasts with aromatic pepper butter. Moving on to the small plates, dishes like Zamorano, Fried Almonds with Celeriac Honey, and Cornish Mussel and Chorizo Rice offer layers of rich textures and flavours that will keep your taste buds entertained throughout.

For those craving something heartier, the Rojão Sandwich offers a spiced twist on the classic Bifana, while Ex Dairy Tartare à Bras delivers a fusion of bold tastes and textures. Additionally, diners can enjoy Isle of Mull Scallops with Mushroom, Crème Fraîche, and Nutmeg, as well as Fideuá – a Catalan noodle dish with Roasted Yeast, Walnut, and Black Garlic. The Fried Partridge with Cinnamon Curry is another standout, rounding out a diverse and indulgent menu.

To finish the meal, indulge in a sweet treat like Pumpkin Ice Cream with White Chocolate & Hazelnut Miso – a unique combination of flavours that perfectly ties together the dining experience.

Perfect Wine Pairings to Enhance the Experience

Complementing Josh’s expertly crafted menu is a selection of wines curated by Sinead Murdoch. Her focus on low-intervention, sustainable winemaking is evident in the wines chosen for the Tasca residency. She places particular emphasis on elevating female-founded and female-made wineries, ensuring that each bottle tells a unique story. This approach adds a personal touch to the wine list, which is designed to perfectly complement the dishes and elevate the dining experience.

Tasca’s Philosophy: A Community-Centric Experience

What makes Tasca stand out is its focus on community and hospitality. The duo’s approach goes beyond just food and wine; it’s about creating an environment where guests feel welcome, whether they’re popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a long, relaxed meal with friends and family. This aligns perfectly with the ethos of Giacco’s, which also prides itself on being a gathering space for the local community.
