Liverpool is poised to become the stage for the highly anticipated UK debut of an immersive spectacle that breathes life into the timeless masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh.
Titled “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” this groundbreaking production, crafted by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, seamlessly merges over 300 of Van Gogh’s post-Impressionist works with state-of-the-art technology and a meticulously curated musical backdrop, narrating the tale of the legendary artist’s profound impact on history.
Having enraptured audiences exceeding five million across the United States and Canada, the show now graces the shores of the UK, finding its home in Liverpool’s iconic Exhibition Centre Liverpool for a limited engagement from June 27 to July 14.
Tickets for this acclaimed showcase will be available for pre-sale starting March 4 at 9 am, followed by general sales on March 6 at 9 am.
In “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” viewers are transported beyond the confines of traditional art, as Van Gogh’s captivating paintings transcend into three-dimensional, immersive landscapes of vibrant color and fluid motion, captivating all senses.
Guests traverse through iconic pieces such as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Terrace of a Café at Night,” while encountering a collection of revealing self-portraits that may seemingly come to life.
Embark on a journey through the artist’s psyche, from darkness to illumination, accompanied by his dreams, reflections, and words set against a stirring symphonic backdrop—a narrative adventure that resonates with both art aficionados and newcomers alike.
Commencing in the Introduction Hall, visitors connect intimately with Vincent van Gogh through his personal letters to his brother Theo, before delving into the heart of the exhibition—the Immersive Room—where paintings transcend frames to dominate the space, enveloping audiences in a whimsical and dreamlike exploration of colorful landscapes and vibrant scenes.
Even for those less acquainted with Van Gogh’s oeuvre, this immersive experience offers a compelling gateway into his world and a profound connection with the artist behind the brushstrokes.
Additionally, guests have the opportunity to participate in special Saturday morning yoga sessions within the exhibition. VIP Experience tickets grant access to exclusive merchandise, flexible arrival times, and expedited entry.
Liverpool was selected as the premiere location by Annerin Productions, drawing on the city’s rich cultural history and previous success with the hit Broadway and West End Beatles musical revue show, “Let It Be.”
