Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced the most significant upgrade to its premium in-flight service to enhance the experience of its Business and First Class passengers during long-haul flights. The new service, which has been in use since September 2025, is offered on SWISS’s Airbus A350 jets operating from Zurich (ZRH) and Geneva (GVA) to various international points.

SWISS has said the restyling is the most in-depth in-flight service update in the history of the airline. Heike Birlenbach, the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the touch point strategy on every phase of flight was better polished and refined to ensure every step of the journey is as Swiss as it can be. Everything from table design to cabin crew training was involved in the extensive testing.

Birlenbach underscored how the renewed service concept intends to offer passengers more choices, more comfort, and a service that has a distinctively Swiss touch. The focus here was to create a service that not only emphasizes luxury but also targets the comfort of the passengers while traveling stylishly. With the new service, SWISS aims to address the inclination of people towards more personalized and refined options in air travel.

A Fine Dining Experience at 35000 ft.

One of the highlights of the new service is the dining experience, which has now been reshaped to meet the new standards of high-end restaurants. Business Class passengers are offered a Swiss-style aperitif service with exclusive drinks, like the SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail, paired with freshly made snacks, such as olives.

The new menu features dessert items such as pralines from the Swiss gourmet chocolatier Aeschbach. The refined take on dining embodies the Swiss tradition of showcasing hospitality with meal quality and presentation on par with the finest restaurants. Over ten-hour-long flights, Business Class patrons are privileged with special features of upgraded beds and comfort utensils, which include a Muntagnard sleepshirt and an additional seat cover, which increases restful and comfortable slumber throughout the flight. Kits of amenities are further adorned with products having Alpine Valley fragrance, which emphasizes the Swiss luxury.

First class offering further refines this with a personalized and unique approach to service. First Class passengers are greeted with their choice of Confiserie Sprüngli apéro flûtes welcome drink, which also includes the signature SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail. First class passengers are also in for a special treat as in-flight dining includes an exquisite selection which start with bulging features like an amuse bouche trio to entire cold delicatessen designed specialties, seasonal sorbets, and handpicked cheese offering five varieties and of course, absoultely heavenly pralines paired with creations that add splash of Swiss sweetness to, Sprüngli, which for sure, completes the entire experience.

On specific daytime flights, First Class clients relish specially made afternoon tea complimentary of the airline, which includes premium tea as well as sweet and savoury pairings. First Class passengers are offered Zimmerli of Switzerland luxurious sleepwear and slippers, and Sisley amenity kits containing alpine-scented skincare products to enhance their comfort. First Class guests are provided with noise-cancelling headphones. They also indulge in First Class in-flight entertainment. Moreover, First Class in-flight entertainment is exclusively provided.
