Adora Cruises New Partnership

Today, Adora Cruises has officially announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Folk Literature and Art Development Center under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. This partnership is set to unveil a novel cultural tour titled “Cruise + Intangible Cultural Heritage,” aiming to offer guests a distinctive exploration of maritime intangible cultural heritage. Through this initiative, the integration of culture and tourism will be deepened, thereby fostering the preservation and advancement of China’s rich traditional culture.

Within this collaborative framework, Adora Cruises and the Center will leverage the Aida Magic City, the first domestic large-scale cruise ship, as a platform for extensive cooperation. Their focus will be on promoting China’s exceptional traditional culture, safeguarding and promoting intangible cultural heritage. This entails selecting noteworthy projects in Chinese traditional crafts and intangible cultural heritage, jointly conceptualizing an intangible cultural heritage-themed space, organizing cultural forums led by industry and academic experts, facilitating artistic showcases and performances by young talents, creating specialty products and cultural merchandise, and launching a series of intangible cultural heritage-themed cruises. The goal is to seamlessly integrate intangible cultural heritage into the cruise experience, encompassing elements like dining, accommodation, travel, shopping, and entertainment to curate a captivating “all-in-one” shipboard extravaganza. Looking ahead, this collaboration will continue to expand and diversify cruise destinations, offering guests culturally enriched cruise routes in the future.

The center said, “Intangible cultural heritage is an important part of China’s excellent traditional culture. We must adhere to integrity and innovation, be confident and self-reliant, give full play to the advantages of the center’s resources, meet the cultural needs of the people in a diversified and innovative way, and promote traditional culture to better exert its cultural influence The role of soul building and cultural empowerment. This strategic cooperation with China’s independent cruise brand – Aida Cruises is an important measure for us to promote exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations on the basis of adhering to the Chinese cultural position.”

The Aida Magic City spans 323.6 meters in length and boasts a total tonnage of 136,200 tons. With 2,125 opulent rooms and suites, it can host up to 5,246 guests at full capacity. By blending Eastern and Western design elements alongside innovative concepts, Aida Magic City has redefined maritime experiences, offering a plethora of attractions such as exquisite dining options, immersive entertainment, chic shopping outlets, and captivating recreational spaces.

Guests can indulge in a global culinary journey at specialty restaurants featuring diverse cuisines, shop for international goods at the expansive duty-free store, immerse themselves in an industrial art coffee space, and enroll their children in the Discovery Camp within the children’s club. Additionally, they can witness the enchanting original production “Marco Polo – Silk Road Love” at the Thousand People Theater, explore the “Remembering Dunhuang” art exhibition at the gallery, and immerse themselves in the richness of Chinese culture.

The recent debut of the Aida·Modu’s first folk song-themed voyage garnered widespread acclaim, while the upcoming tea culture-themed voyage, setting sail on April 4, promises an immersive journey into traditional Chinese tea culture and ceramics, providing guests with a unique artistic sea voyage.
