Explore Gwinnett has proudly received a distinguished Gold Award in the 32nd Annual North American Travel Journalists Awards (NATJA) Competition, underlining its excellence in the category of visitor guides (print or digital) or websites. This accolade serves as a testament to the diligent efforts of the destination marketing entity for Gwinnett County, particularly for its collaborative endeavor with Atlanta Magazine Custom Publishing to bring the Explore Gwinnett Magazine to life annually.
This magazine serves as a beacon for showcasing the diverse and rich offerings of Metro Atlanta, through engaging narratives and insights from a dedicated team of 11 contributors who collectively portray the allure of Gwinnett County. The digital version of this annual publication is accessible online, inviting readers to explore what makes the region special.
Lisa Anders, the executive director of Explore Gwinnett, expressed profound satisfaction with the magazine, highlighting it as a reflection of the dynamic and multifaceted experiences available in the area. “The creation of every edition, such as this year’s 87-page magazine, is a labor of love, and it’s heartening to see our collective efforts along with Atlanta Magazine’s partnership gaining recognition,” she remarked.
The NATJA Competition annually celebrates exceptional achievements in travel journalism, photography, and destination marketing. The judging panel comprises notable figures in journalism and education, recognizing outstanding contributions in various categories with Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention awards.
“Submissions for this year’s awards competition included a diverse group of journalists, publications, and destination marketing organizations from North America,” noted NATJA CEO, Helen Hernandez. “Selection of the winners by our independent panel of judges was particularly difficult this year because of the outstanding quality and broad range of articles, images and marketing campaigns submitted for consideration. I wish to extend my congratulations to all the winners for their exceptional work in enhancing the travel experience of those exploring new destinations and adventures.”
