The results highlighted some fascinating trends: traditional favorites like Goa and Srinagar are still in demand, but there’s a growing interest in exploring second-tier cities such as Pune and Patna. Additionally, spiritual destinations like Varanasi are becoming more popular, indicating a rise in religious tourism.

According to the study, the most popular travel destinations in India include Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, Srinagar, Bengaluru, Pune, Patna, Leh, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Guwahati, and Bagdogra, with a total of 36 million searches.

Mumbai
Research indicates a strong preference among Mumbai residents for visiting destinations such as Goa, Delhi, Bengaluru, Srinagar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Patna, and Hyderabad, accumulating a total of 3.186 million searches.

Delhi
Delhiites show keen interest in traveling to Goa, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Srinagar, Pune, Patna, Kolkata, Leh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Kochi, and Bhubaneswar, with searches reaching 3.509 million.

Bengaluru

Residents of Bengaluru show interest in visiting destinations such as Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, Patna, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Bhubaneswar, Bagdogra, and Guwahati, with a total of approximately 24.86 lakh searches.

Hyderabad
In Hyderabad, locals are keen on exploring Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Tirupati, Varanasi, Srinagar, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, and Chandigarh, accumulating a total of around 10.98 lakh searches.

Chennai
Chennai’s population shows a preference for Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Port Blair, Goa, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Pune, Kochi, Guwahati, Madurai, Patna, and Srinagar, with searches reaching about 90.5 lakh in total.

Kolkata
