Marwan Fadel has been appointed as the general manager of St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Fadel holds an experience of nearly two decades in hospitality experience across the Middle East.
After joining he will oversee all management functions, hotel operations, and new innovations helping to achieve planned goals for the resort.
Fadel said that St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, was the first official debut of bespoke St. Regis hospitality in the region.
He felt especially attached to it, having worked here since the hotel was still under construction.
As a passionate hotelier he was still committed to provide authentic hospitality and inspire his team to deliver exquisite experiences to guests.
He further added that he felt privileged and honoured to take up the general manager position of this iconic resort.
He was prepared for the launch of an exciting new destination venue, the first permanent Buddha-Bar Beach worldwide and was looking forward to elevate the guest experience.
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi is home to six restaurants, an athletics club, and Abu Dhabi’s only Iridium Spa and the five-star property features 376 guest rooms and suites include the 2,100 sqm Royal Suite, a duplex spanning the two uppermost floors.
In 2011, Fadel moved to the UAE capital to oversee its launch and was promoted to the role of hotel manager in August 2016.
He has maintained the St. Regis brand’s standards and forged strong strategic partnerships within the travel and tourism industry.
In 2002 he began his career working for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, and was promoted to several senior management roles within the company.
