easyJet is expanding its summer operations with the largest seasonal flying programme in its history, adding more flights, increasing seat capacity, and introducing new routes to meet rising demand for international holidays.
The airline’s expanded schedule will provide millions of passengers with more opportunities to travel from UK airports during the peak summer period. The programme combines increased aircraft capacity, new leisure routes, and a larger holiday package portfolio as travellers continue to prioritise overseas breaks.

easyJet will operate more than 380,000 flights across its network during the summer season, marking a new record for the airline. The schedule includes more than 80,000 flights during the UK school holiday period, when demand traditionally reaches its highest levels.
More than seven million passengers from the UK are expected to travel during the school break, with over 45,000 flights operating to and from the country.

The increase in operations reflects strong demand for European leisure travel, with holidaymakers looking for greater flexibility, more destination choices, and convenient departures from airports closer to home.
To support the expanded schedule, easyJet has strengthened its UK fleet with eight additional Airbus A320-family aircraft. The aircraft have been positioned across bases in Bristol, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, and Glasgow, allowing the airline to increase capacity across both major and regional airports.
A key element of the summer programme is the introduction of 53 new routes, broadening easyJet’s network across popular holiday markets.
The new services focus heavily on leisure destinations, including increased connectivity to Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco. These markets have become increasingly attractive for travellers seeking warm-weather escapes, coastal resorts, and affordable holiday options.

The additional routes strengthen easyJet’s position in the European leisure travel market while giving passengers more alternatives for summer trips.
Alongside new destinations, the airline has also increased availability on existing routes where demand remains high, helping customers secure flights during the busiest travel weeks.
easyJet is offering more than 39 million seats on flights to and from the UK throughout the summer season.
The additional capacity represents an increase of around 500,000 seats compared with the previous year, giving passengers more choice during school holidays and other peak travel periods.
The growth in available seats is supported by the airline’s expanded fleet and wider network strategy, which aims to improve access to popular destinations while maintaining a strong presence at UK airports.
The busiest travel day of the season is expected to be 31 August, when the airline plans to operate almost 2,200 flights.
More than 366,000 passengers are expected to travel on that day as families return from summer holidays and other travellers begin late-season breaks.
The end-of-August period remains one of the most demanding times of the year for European aviation, requiring airlines and airports to manage high passenger volumes while maintaining smooth operations.
Mediterranean destinations continue to attract the strongest interest among UK holidaymakers.
In Spain, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca remain among easyJet’s most popular summer destinations. Both locations continue to appeal to travellers seeking beach holidays, family resorts, and cultural experiences.
Portugal’s Faro is also recording strong demand, supported by the popularity of the Algarve region among British visitors.
Other leading destinations include Alicante, which continues to perform strongly as part of easyJet’s Spanish network.
Family travellers are showing particular interest in package holidays to Turkey, the Balearic Islands, and Greece, where resort accommodation and all-inclusive options remain popular during the summer school break.
easyJet holidays is also increasing its summer offering, with its largest programme yet planned for the season.
Family travel remains a major focus, with more than a quarter of children travelling through the package holiday business benefiting from free child place offers.
The most booked hotel in the programme is Club Mac Alcudia in Majorca, highlighting continued demand for family-friendly resorts in the Balearic Islands.
In Tunisia, One Resort Aqua Park has become one of the most popular accommodation choices, reflecting growing interest in North African destinations among UK travellers.
The expansion of the holiday business allows customers to combine flights and accommodation through one booking platform, creating a more convenient travel experience.
easyJet’s summer network provides extensive departure options across the UK, supporting both international holidays and domestic travel.
Passengers flying from London Gatwick can access destinations including Copenhagen, Palma de Mallorca, and Faro. Services from London Luton include Nice, Berlin, and Malaga, while London Southend offers routes to Antalya, Faro, and Alicante.
Regional airports continue to play an important role in the airline’s growth strategy. From Bristol, travellers can fly to Geneva, Madrid, and Nice, while Birmingham connects passengers with destinations such as Edinburgh, Malaga, and Corfu.
From Manchester, the summer schedule includes routes to Hamburg, Skiathos, and Split. Liverpool passengers can travel to destinations including Paris, Belfast, and Nice.
In Scotland, Edinburgh offers summer services to Tenerife, Copenhagen, and Paris, expanding international travel options for passengers in the region.
The record summer schedule demonstrates easyJet’s continued investment in capacity growth, regional connectivity, and holiday travel demand.
By combining additional aircraft, expanded seat availability, new routes, and a larger package holiday programme, the airline is strengthening its position as one of Europe’s leading leisure carriers.
The expanded summer operation is expected to give travellers greater choice while supporting popular holiday destinations across Europe and beyond.
