FCM assesses Asia’s cabin class bookings

FCM, Global corporate travel management company, of late has compared the way business travellers are travelling in 2023 as against 2019.


FCM China recently witnessed that economy class bookings have 19 per cent highest increase because of slower financial conditions. As a result, bookings in business-class saw a bordering raise of 0.4 per cent. Bookings in terms of premium economy class and first-class witnessed a marginal drop in bookings of 1 per cent and 0.1 per cent when compared to the same time 2019.


In Singapore, with air capacity at 88 per cent, the booking pattern of cabin class in Singapore remains comparatively the same. FCM Singapore has witnessed a lift of bookings of economy class to more than 4.7 per cent which created growth in bookings as compared to 2019. In business class bookings, there was a 1.7 per cent rise and 0.1 per cent in premium economy class. In first-class bookings, there was a negligeable depression of 0.02 per cent.


Bookings in economy class and premium economy class has seen a 3 per cent and 1.7 per cent raise in FCM India, motivated by the upsurge in local travel within the same time frame. With international capacity not back at the levels of 2019, they have witnessed an insignificant drop across bookings related to first-class and business-class types by 1.3 per cent and 3.8 per cent respectively.
