Today, Finnair unveiled its updated summer traffic plan for 2025, showcasing expanded services to Tokyo, Japan. The airline is set to offer daily flights to both Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita, along with an additional weekly flight to Nagoya.

Moreover, Finnair will debut a fresh destination in Northern Norway: Kirkenes. Commencing in the summer of 2025, this route will be serviced by a 68-seat ATR aircraft, flying from Helsinki via Ivalo three times weekly. The introduction of this route aims to meet the needs of Finnish and international travelers seeking to explore Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway. Notably, it opens up access to experiences like the renowned Hurtigruten cruise, departing from Kirkenes.

“We are delighted to introduce a destination that further strengthens our already extensive network in the Arctic region. The new route enables a smooth connection for customers travelling up to Northern Norway, making it fast and easy to reach the destination from Helsinki”, says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.

In the Baltic area, Finnair is set to boost its service frequencies to Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius for the summer of 2025. Tallinn and Riga will each see an increase of five additional weekly flights, while Vilnius will experience a rise of two additional weekly flights.

Additionally, Finnair has revised its winter 2024 traffic schedule, enhancing frequencies to Dallas to establish a year-round daily service. These flights offer passengers seamless connections to the expansive network of American Airlines from their Dallas hub.
