Fliggy, a prominent online travel platform and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alibaba Group, has strengthened its collaboration with Hilton in China by launching Hilton’s official global flagship store on its platform. This partnership not only highlights Fliggy’s expanding connections with renowned international brands but also emphasizes its ongoing expansion in the global tourism market.

The introduction of the online global flagship store is an extension of Hilton’s existing domestic booking service on Fliggy. Now, users of the platform can directly book stays at Hilton hotels in overseas destinations like Singapore, Maldives, and Bangkok. The scope of coverage will be expanded to encompass more outbound destinations in the future.

In March 2021, Fliggy integrated its membership with Hilton Honors, the acclaimed guest loyalty program encompassing nearly 7,400 hotels in 124 countries and territories under Hilton’s brands. This integration enables Fliggy’s members to earn double points and enjoy exclusive benefits from both programs, including complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, and late checkout.

Zhuoran Zhuang, CEO of Fliggy, stated, “As the outbound travel market demonstrates robust signs of recovery, our deepened partnership with Hilton is poised to establish a new standard for global travel experiences. Establishing a direct sales system is crucial for travel brands seeking sustainable growth in membership and brand recognition. Fliggy will continue to leverage our platform capabilities to assist global travel brands in expanding their direct sales channels.”

According to the Hilton Trends Report 2024, 85% of Chinese consumers are willing to increase their travel spending in 2024 compared to 2023, surpassing the global average of 65%.

Wendy Huang, Senior Vice President and Commercial Director at Hilton Greater China and Mongolia, commented, “We are thrilled to offer our renowned hospitality to Chinese outbound travelers, delivering consistent and friendly service wherever they go. Building on our longstanding collaboration, we will leverage Fliggy’s strengths in serving Chinese outbound travelers, providing added convenience and delightful experiences for our valued guests.”

Hilton experienced significant sales growth during this year’s Double 11 shopping festival, with Fliggy’s data showing that Hilton’s total transaction volume on the platform exceeded the figures from the same period in 2022.

In addition to Hilton Honors, Fliggy’s membership program is also connected with the membership programs of numerous four and five-star international hotel groups, including Marriott, Mandarin Oriental, and Wanda Hotels & Resorts. Among these, more than ten groups have fully integrated their programs with Fliggy in terms of pricing, membership tiers, and respective benefits.
