American Airlines is enhancing its onboard Wi-Fi service, making it more user-friendly and widely available for passengers wanting to stay connected or browse the web during their flights. The airline is introducing innovative ways for AAdvantage® members to use their miles, such as paying for Wi-Fi, and constantly enhancing the onboard connectivity and entertainment offerings. Passengers can anticipate an enriched experience during their flight.

Soon, AAdvantage® members will have the option to spend miles for onboard Wi-Fi. This new feature will be gradually introduced on selected aircraft in the coming weeks, with plans to expand it to all Viasat-equipped narrowbody aircraft by the peak of the summer travel season. This initiative reflects American’s dedication to adding value to the AAdvantage® membership.

Enhancing the Wi-Fi Experience
American Airlines is taking its Wi-Fi service to the next level. Most mainline aircraft now offer gate-to-gate Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing passengers to stay online from the moment they board until they disembark. The airline is also introducing a complimentary, ad-sponsored Wi-Fi option on all domestic narrowbody aircraft equipped with Viasat, enhancing accessibility for all passengers.

The airline is set to roll out a redesigned Wi-Fi portal throughout the year, aimed at simplifying the process of accessing Wi-Fi. This new portal will feature a more intuitive interface, reducing the number of steps required to connect and offering direct communication with passengers through targeted messages. The redesign aims to make navigation smoother and the overall experience more visually appealing, consolidating information about Wi-Fi, entertainment, and special offers in one place.

Regional Flight Connectivity
This summer marks the start of a project with Intelsat to equip nearly 500 dual-class regional aircraft with high-speed Wi-Fi, aiming to provide a seamless connectivity experience across more flights.

Onboard Entertainment Innovations
American Airlines leads the way in inflight entertainment by offering streaming services on its entire mainline fleet. Passengers can choose from over 1,500 free entertainment options, with around 200 new titles added monthly, reflecting the latest in entertainment trends and customer preferences.
