Foggy situations and thick air pollution in Hanoi are triggering transport disturbances currently. As per reports, there is lessened discernibility of around 100 meters (330 feet), causing citywide transport interruptions. All flights to and from Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi are going through postponements or deviations to other cities, comprising Da Nang International Airport (DAD) and Cat Bi International Airport (HPH) in Hai Phong.

Vietnam’s National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting said that unclear environments will possibly linger till February 3. Moreover, experts have categorized air quality in Hanoi as of February 2 as ‘very unhealthy’, with air pollution levels at 198. The intensified air pollution in latest weeks has provoked authorities to issue advisories regarding using facemasks and curtailing out-of-doors activities.

Additional fog-related interruptions are expected in the approaching days. Substantial air pollution in Hanoi will virtually worsen disturbances. Lasting flight disturbances could happen even after the fog goes away as airlines function to clear passenger logjams. Commercial trucking deferrals are likely along local highways.
