For excellence awards, AP Tourism is looking for applications

Recently, the authority of Andhra Pradesh Tourism has invited applications from interested candidates as well as institutions for the State Annual Tourism Excellence Awards-2021-22. On September 27th, in 14 different categories of tourism industry, the said awards will be presented. It will coincide with the celebrations of the World Tourism Day.

In 2022, the theme for the celebrations is ‘Rethinking Tourism’. From the website of Andhra Pradesh Tourism, the application forms and detailed guidelines can be downloaded. It’s www.aptourism.gov.in. For submission of applications, the last date is September 10th at the APTA office in Autonagar.

After experiencing a long period of inactivity due to the pandemic situation, the Tourism Department is all set for the revelry with new vigour and eagerness, said K. Kanna Babu, APTA CEO and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation at the time of discussion with the media on Sunday.

He explained that the state of Andhra Pradesh is endowed with natural resources and charming destinations. It has a huge tourism potential and the tourism and hospitality sectors should make the best of this gift to draw visitors.
