A familiar sight is once again back at the Bombay Exhibition Center. Executives working with tourism boards of several countries can be witnessed exchanging cards and distributing brochures and maps to customers.

After a break and a gap of two years, overseas tourism boards are meeting travel agents in person – making deals, creating product awareness and clarifying doubts. Covid cases have gone down considerably, and thus, international passenger flights from India are starting on March 27. Tourism boards are eyeing Indians who are considering travel abroad once again.

Industry sources say that destinations like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Mauritius, Egypt, Australia and New Zealand would be making up for almost half of India’s total outbound segment this year.
