MMPRC boosts tourism through China-Maldives cultural events, following Fujian’s inaugural direct flight, strengthening tourism and cultural bonds.
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) is thrilled to share its engagement in a series of events aimed at celebrating the rich cultural heritage of both China and the Maldives. This initiative follows the organization’s recent celebration of the inaugural direct flight connecting Fujian Province in China with the Maldives.
Collaborations with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Maldives and a notable delegation from the Fujian Provincial People’s Government are at the heart of this initiative. Scheduled to take place over the course of two days, from February 14th to 15th, 2024, these events are part of the broader China-Maldives Cultural Exchange program. This program aims to strengthen bilateral relations and open doors for enhanced collaboration across various sectors including cultural tourism, trade, and investment.
The agenda features a forum by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on Wednesday, attracting esteemed representatives from both countries. Additionally, a Chinese Folk Music Flash Mob and a promotional event for Fujian Culture and Tourism are set for the next day.
Through ongoing efforts to engage with this market, MMPRC endeavors to keep the Maldives at the forefront of destinations preferred by Chinese tourists. The upcoming cultural exchanges are designed to deepen the connections between the two countries, fostering a partnership that promises reciprocal benefits and enduring friendship.
