Four Seasons debut wellness shala: 3-day mind-body event

The inauguration of the new Wellness Shala at Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica will be celebrated through a three-day event focused on holistic well-being against the stunning backdrop of Peninsula Papagayo.

Ian-Robert Ciappara, the Resort’s General Manager, expresses excitement about welcoming the community into this sacred space. He describes the Shala, named after the Sanskrit word for ‘home,’ as an unprecedented architectural gem on the Peninsula that enriches their wellness offerings.

The festivities will commence with a Drummer Circle Procession on December 21, 2023, beginning at Playa Blana and culminating at the Wellness Shala. The rhythmic beats will draw people together for a vibrant procession ending just before sunset, setting the stage for an evening of joy.

Renowned Alo Yoga Instructor, April May Gardener, will lead two Yoga Master Classes: a 90-minute vinyasa flow session focused on setting intentions through yoga practice at the Wellness Shala on December 21 at 7:30 am, and an evening class celebrating connections on December 22 at 2:00 pm. Additionally, Gardener will host an exclusive private event for Peninsula Papagayo members and Four Seasons Residents, fostering intimate connections and personal growth.

This three-day celebration marks the debut of the Wellness Shala—a magical space at Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo devoted to nurturing mind, body, and soul. The event underscores the Resort’s dedication to delivering guests unique and transformative experiences beyond conventional luxury offerings.
