Frank Trampert holds the position of Senior Vice President and Global Managing Director of Community Sales at Sabre Hospitality Solutions. He has been kind enough to discuss the attributes of the same with Travel And Tour World.

Travel And Tour World: How does Sabre SynXis technology enhance Seibu Prince Hotels Worldwide’s distribution and booking capabilities globally?

Frank Trampert: What is important for hoteliers is that they can reach guests where they shop while also capturing and converting guests on their own channels. So, it’s essential they have the right technology to drive bookings across both direct and indirect channels.

Seibu will be distributing its room inventory globally through the Sabre SynXis platform. Through one connection, they will be able to share their inventory with the main Global Distribution Systems (GDS), including Sabre’s own GDS.

In addition, to ensure they are connected to the important Online Travel Agent (OTA) sector, Sabre’s Channel Connect will enable Seibu to simplify and automate the distribution of availability, rates, and inventory to global and regional OTA channels, again from a single point of distribution.

As well as indirect channels, hotels need to be able to drive direct bookings to their own .com. However, optimizing a hotel’s direct booking path to drive conversion can be a real challenge, particularly in today’s travel landscape. They expect a consumer-grade shopping experience, complete with up-to-date information and streamlined booking flows. SynXis Booking Engine drives direct bookings by increasing engagement and triggering conversions. It will enable Seibu to control their brand experience and deliver an excellent user experience, converting shoppers into guests.

Following our acquisition of Techsembly, this includes the ability to sell ancillaries without a room reservation, including hotel gift cards.

Travel And Tour World: What technological benefits does this deal offer Seibu Prince Hotels in terms of OTA integration?

Frank Trampert: Channel Connect offers seamless distribution to OTAs, enabling Seibu to significantly enhance its global visibility on the sites where guests are shopping. The SynXis platform also brings greater security capabilities and data protection, ensuring Seibu is compliant with all data standards and regulations in their markets.

Travel And Tour World: How will Seibu Prince Hotels improve the guest experience and streamline operations using Sabre’s SynXis platform?

Frank Trampert: Today’s guests expect a seamless experience across devices and touchpoints. By using SynXis Booking Engine, Seibu can differentiate itself through a more modern booking experience, allowing it to increase conversions and enhance its offering to guests through greater personalization. It can monitor Booking Engine activity with customer booking trends and enhanced reporting to enable it to deliver more of what guests want. SynXis Booking Engine also has a mobile-first design, so guests have an exceptional shopping experience, regardless of whether they are using a laptop, tablet, or mobile.

On a broader scale, the SynXis Central Reservation System empowers Seibu to automate and simplify distribution, managing the different elements of its distribution strategy from one platform. This includes real-time updates of room availability and rates across all distribution channels, ensuring travellers have of-the-minute information to make informed choices.

Travel And Tour World: In what ways will Sabre’s technology solutions support Seibu Prince Hotels Worldwide’s ambitious goal to double its hotel portfolio?

Frank Trampert: When hoteliers have big ambitions, it’s vital they have the right technology to support such business growth. The technology they choose must simplify operations while being scalable. Rather than having hundreds of disparate channels to manage, Seibu can simplify its tech stack, taking advantage of one single source of truth. Selecting SynXis means they have one reliable, cloud-hosted platform from which to streamline their ecosystem and transform the way they distribute their portfolio to travellers.

Through Sabre Hospitality Studios, our comprehensive portfolio of solutions, hoteliers can manage distribution, retailing, operations, and more to drive maximum revenue, operate more efficiently, and deliver personalized guest experiences. Seibu can grow and evolve the way they use SynXis as they ramp up their expansion. Working with our Distribution Studio means Seibu can ensure they are growing in reach and revenue, and attracting increasing numbers of guests as they rapidly grow their property portfolio.

Seibu is just one of our new hotelier partners who have chosen Sabre to grow their business. We’ve also recently signed key deals with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which will use Sabre’s SynXis Central Reservation System as its main CRS, and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in Sri Lanka, which will also be using the Sabre SynXis Central Reservations System as well as SynXis Booking Engine to aid growth and scale.
