From April 29th, India-Vietnam Flight Services to Restart their Operations Once Again

Between India and Vietnam on Wednesday, 20th April 2022, new air routes were launched. Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla, inaugurated it. At present, the Lok Sabha speaker is on a three-day tour of Southeast Asian countries. Birla and the chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue, brought back the direct air services that got temporarily closed due to Corona. New air routes were also started along with this. The Lok Sabha Secretariat gave this piece of information. Vietnam’s airline VietJet was flying regular flights before the pandemic. These flights were between Hanoi and Ho Chin Minh City to New Delhi.


Because of the coronavirus pandemic, these services were cancelled, which got restarted once again. Also, it has been told by the Secretariat that these services have been restored only during Om Birla’s visit to Vietnam. Vietjet was informed on Wednesday that it will fly six flights between India and Vietnam now, phase-by-phase. It starts on 29th April. On April 29th and 30th, Delhi-Hanoi and Delhi Ho Chi Minh City would resume their services. The four routes that Om Birla inaugurated – Hanoi Mumbai, Ho Chi Minh City Mumbai and Phu Quoc to New Delhi and Mumbai. On these new routes, VietJet flights will operate its flights.
