From December, Emirates to reintroduce additional services in SA

As part of Emirates’ initiations to help the revival of South Africa’s economy and tourism sectors, the airline has declared about additional services to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, respectively.


With three daily flights, Emirates will be spreading out its schedule to and from Johannesburg from March 1st, 2023. From February 1st, 2023, Cape Town will be having with double daily services as to Durban two more flights will be added, making it a daily operation from December 1st, 2022.


The reintroduction of the new flights between Dubai and the Emirate’s three gateways in South Africa will amplify the airlines schedule to 42 services on a weekly basis.


From Dubai to Johannesburg, flight EK 767 of Emirates will leave at 11.25pm, and will arrive Johannesburg at 5.35am the next day. The return flight will leave at 10.20pm from Johannesburg and will arrive in Dubai at 8.20am, the next morning.


From Johannesburg, the third daily flight will help in meeting the rising demand with over 300 available seats each way.


At around 9.10am, Emirates’ second daily service to Cape Town will leave Dubai, landing at 4.45pm. Them at 1.25pm, it will depart Cape Town and will arrive in Dubai at 1.10am, the next day. The airline with double daily service to Cape Town will have reinstated its pre-pandemic schedule, aiding the tourism industry of the city at peak season arrivals by offering connectivity from markets like the Middle East, Europe, West Asia and Australasia.
