From tourism, Serbia’s FX revenue doubled in 2022

From tourism, the foreign currency revenue of Serbia in the first six months of 2022 amounted to 969 million euro. This was an increase of 58% compared to the same time in last year, Tatjana Matic, the tourism minister on Monday said about this.


Matic explained that from tourism, the foreign currency revenue in the six months through June of 2022 is 72% higher than in the like period of 2019.


During the first six months of 2022, as per the statistical office of Serbia, the foreign tourist arrival numbers in the country rose by 136% to 687,159. In the country, foreign tourists spent 2,044,069 overnights in the review period. This was up 85% compared to the like period in 2021.
