Today, Fujitsu Limited disclosed that for the seventh consecutive year, it has been recognized on the CDP’s A List for its exemplary performance in addressing climate change. This distinction underlines the company’s leadership and dedication to managing and reporting on efforts to combat climate change, as assessed by the CDP—an international non-profit that collects data on behalf of investors with a portfolio over US $136 trillion as of February 2024. The CDP assessment focuses on transparency, risk management, tackling climate challenges, and setting meaningful objectives.

Fujitsu’s Climate Change Efforts
In 2017, Fujitsu unveiled its long-term environmental strategy, aiming for zero carbon emissions by 2050 with the introduction of the Fujitsu Climate and Energy Vision. By June 2023, Fujitsu refreshed these commitments, targeting carbon neutrality in operations by fiscal 2030 and net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by fiscal 2040. This ambition has been validated by SBTi certification for its net-zero goals.

Leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AI, Fujitsu is dedicated to both mitigating climate change effects and enabling societal adaptation to these changes. The company’s ultimate goal is to support the global pursuit of carbon neutrality and to foster a society that is more adaptable and resilient.

In its Environmental Action Plan (Stage XI) for FY 2023-2025, Fujitsu outlines its environmental objectives which include tackling climate change, promoting resource circulation, and preserving biodiversity. As a pioneer in digital transformation, Fujitsu is focused on minimizing the environmental footprint of its operations and its supply chain, while simultaneously maximizing the societal and customer value of its technological solutions.

Fujitsu is committed to pushing forward with these initiatives, aiming to foster a sustainable future.
