G20 meetings have placed India on the global tourism map

G20 conferences in India have nurtured partnership among administrations, private segment and other
shareholders, and locations organizing these meetings have gathered a lot of international responsiveness and placed India on the worldwide tourism map.

In a written reaction to an enquiry in Rajya Sabha, G Kishan Reddy, the Union Tourism Minister said that
infrastructure has been advanced at organizing cities and several creativities have been considered for
creating the capability of shareholders for fruitful implementation of events.

Minister Reddy was enquired in a written question if the government has evaluated the influence of the G-20 summit to be organized in India, on the tourism segment of the country.

The minister said that no official evaluation of the influence has been carried on but G20 conferences
have caused amplified discernibility of conspicuous tourist places in India.

Numerous heritage memorials in and around the organizing cities got revamped due to the outing of
G20 representatives and offered them with a chance to see India’s opulent natural and cultural inheritance.

Besides the trips and immersive understandings, G20 conferences have proved to be a wonderful platform to exhibit the art, ethos and customs of the region, said Minister Reddy.
