Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines Strengthen Partnership to Offer More Flights

Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines are enhancing their collaboration to improve connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore. The expansion of their codeshare agreement will not only increase flight options but also introduce new benefits for travelers.

Expanded Flight Options and Seamless Travel

Starting November 22, 2024, Singapore Airlines will boost its flights between Singapore and Jakarta, operating eight daily flights, up from six. Garuda Indonesia will follow suit by increasing its own daily flights from four to six, starting December 1, 2024. Together, the two airlines will offer 390 weekly flights, with 362 of those connecting Indonesia and Singapore.

In addition to more frequent flights, the expanded codeshare agreement will allow passengers to seamlessly travel between Singapore and major Indonesian cities such as Denpasar, Medan, Surabaya, and Jakarta. The partnership will also extend to flights connecting to international destinations like London and Mumbai.

New Joint Fare Products and Frequent Flyer Benefits

By the first quarter of 2025, Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines will introduce joint fare products, providing travelers with more flexible and affordable options. A key benefit of the expanded partnership will be the integration of their frequent flyer programs, allowing passengers to earn and redeem GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer points across all codeshare routes.

Looking Ahead: More Initiatives in the Pipeline

This partnership builds on a commercial agreement announced earlier this year and signals more developments to come. Future initiatives may include joint revenue-sharing flights, coordinated flight schedules for improved connectivity, and collaborative marketing efforts aimed at enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

With these exciting changes, Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines are set to offer a more convenient and rewarding travel experience for their passengers.
