With some 200 Solomon Islanders having taken up the opportunity to explore the country on heavily discounted holiday deals, Solomon Airlines has renewed its commitment to continuing ‘Helpful Holidays’ to support the local tourism industry and to encourage more Solomon Islanders to travel.
Gatokae Island has been announced as the latest addition to the ‘Helpful Holidays’ tourism initiative, with all destinations now available for sale until 1 February 2021 and stays 15 January to 15 February 2021.
“As we continually expand the program to support our tourism partners, we have also extended the sale to encourage post New Year travel until mid-February which is when our operators need the most support,” said Colin Sigimanu, Commercial Manager of Solomon Airlines.
“Our industry has been without any international visitors for most of the year and this programme is keeping some revenue flowing, keeping confidence up and also making it possible for Solomon Islanders to affordably travel to the 20 properties included in the programme,” he said.
The domestic tourism initiative is stimulating much-needed business for Solomon Islands regional tourism operators, by offering up to 50% off regular accommodation rates combined with discounted flights from Honiara to Munda, Gizo, Seghe, Marau, Fera, Kagau, and Suavanao.
The latest addition to the ‘Helpful Holiday’ programme packages includes:
Gatokae Island from SBD$3325 per adult twin-share including:
