A considerable number of GCC citizens have preferred to spend their Eid holidays in Qatar to enjoy the various activities and entertainment programmes that have been featured across the country during this time.
Speaking to local Arabic daily ‘Arrayah’, they stressed that the amazing and successful organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 gave a further boost to the positive image of the country, making many people from the GCC region very keen to come to Qatar and explore the country firsthand.
Accordingly, they considered Qatar as one of the most attractive and much sought after tourist destinations for GCC families, as the country gives all family members what they need, especially children, in addition to the privacy preferred by GCC visitors.
They pointed out that Qatar provides the tourists with various options of accommodation with top luxury hotels and apartment and other affordable options for the tourists.
In addition, the state provides the GCC visitors with all the necessary facilities at the land border crossing making the process of entering the country hassle-free.
Mohamed Ali al-Qahtani, from Saudi Arabia, said that he has been visiting Qatar for the first time and was surprised with the diversity of tourist activities and facilities that country offers.
He said that the country provides the tourist with all the necessary comfort and excitement specially when visiting places such as Katara the Cultural Village Foundation, Souq Waqif and some of the luxurious shopping malls.
He said that he is very anxious to visit the other places he heard about from the social media.
He said that he felt at home in Qatar due to the well-established traditions and heritage of the country and the focus on maintaining family privacy. Besides, all the tourist places across the country are easily accessible.
Nasser al-Shami, from UAE, said that he has always been keen to visit Qatar as he has Qatari relatives.
However, he stressed that he enjoys his stay in Qatar and its various tourist destinations such as Souq Waqif, Lusail and Msheireb among others.
He highly appreciated the massive urban development that the country has seen over the past few years.
Saood Saleh, from Saudi Arabia, stressed that Qatar has blended modernity with heritage and tradition, making GCC visitors feel real joy while touring its different areas and places as the country has been keen to maintain its original cultural heritage identity.
Besides, there are various accommodation options that cater to the needs of different tourists.
Ahmed al-Housani, from UAE, pointed out that he is always keen to visit Qatar regularly, and he loves in particular the heritage and traditional sites and places especially Souq Waqif and Katara.
He sees that Qatar is a very suitable place for GCC families to spend their holidays and enjoy a good time.
