Global LGBTQ+ Tourism Showcase

From March 5th to 7th, the LGBTQ+ Travel Showcase at Hall 4.1 will be the center of attention for both LGBTQ+ travel professionals and enthusiasts. This event promises an exciting lineup of exhibitors, including Valencia, Spain, the organizers of the 2026 Gay Games, LGBTQ+ cruise company Vacaya, and Choose Chicago. The showcase will be complemented by networking opportunities and visionary talks on its exclusive stage and at the ITB Berlin Convention.

The LGBTQ+ Travel Showcase stands as a key hub for the international LGBTQ+ travel community, presenting an unmatched variety of LGBTQ+ travel options. During the event, attendees will engage in special gatherings, media events, and view presentations. The stage dedicated to LGBTQ+ travel at ITB and the ITB Berlin Convention will host thought-provoking keynotes, expert discussions, and panel debates. Additionally, the TOMONTOUR Podcast Lounge will make its first appearance, offering live podcast recordings with travel experts and hoteliers sharing intriguing travel stories. These podcasts will later be accessible across popular streaming platforms.

Esteemed entities like München Tourismus, the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA), GNetwork Buenos Aires, and TOMONTOUR are set to display a broad spectrum of LGBTQ+ travel offerings. Notably, this year marks the debut participation of Choose Chicago and the LGBTQ+ Wedding Conference. The official partners for this segment include Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, representing Benidorm and Valencia, the latter being the host for the Gay Games 2026, alongside Vacaya, a renowned LGBTQ+ cruise and resort operator from the U.S.

The event kicks off on March 5th with the LGBTQ+ Media Brunch, offering a unique networking platform for media representatives and bloggers alongside exhibitors like Choose Chicago and GNetwork Buenos Aires. Following this, the LGBTQ+ Travel Showcase will officially open, featuring notable figures including Nuria Montes de Diego, the Tourism Minister of Comunitat Valenciana, alongside other distinguished guests.

The ITB’s LGBTQ+ Networking Reception, hosted by TOMONTOUR, is scheduled for the evening, spotlighting key figures from the global travel industry, supported by IGLTA, Pink Pillow Berlin, and Visit Brussels.

The LGBTQ+ Travel Showcase Stage will be a focal point throughout the event, with a diverse agenda including the unveiling of the ‘Travel Risk Map 2024’ by A3M Global Monitoring, discussions on Gen Z travel preferences within the LGBTQ+ community, and insightful sessions addressing the challenges faced by transgender travelers abroad.

The event continues with presentations highlighting Benidorm as an LGBTQ+ friendly destination, Barcelona’s debut as an LGBTQ+ hotspot, and panel discussions on navigating the complexities of LGBTQ+ travel. Special sessions will also cover topics like the IGLTA Convention Host City 2026 and innovative marketing strategies from Choose Chicago.

The ITB Berlin Convention will delve into diversity and inclusion within the travel industry, featuring discussions on workplace diversity, the sector’s response to global challenges, and the significance of LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Culminating the event, the ITB Diversity Gala will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s contributions to tourism, presenting awards and supporting the IGLTA Foundation through a silent auction.
