Goa Tourism Meets with VFS Global to Strategize on Expanding Global Tourism Reach and Growth Initiatives

Goa Tourism recently engaged in strategic discussions with VFS Global to strengthen its international reach and attract more global visitors to the state. During the ITB Asia 2024 event, the Goa Tourism delegation, led by Director of Tourism Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, alongside Gavin Dias, General Manager of Marketing, and Dhiraj Wagle, Deputy Director of Tourism, explored initiatives to position Goa as a leading destination within the Asian tourism market.

In a focused meeting with GB Srithar, Head of Tourism Services at VFS Global, the delegation discussed ways to enhance travel accessibility and connectivity, aiming to provide a seamless travel experience for international tourists. Suneel Anchipaka stated, “Our commitment to sustainable tourism through innovative initiatives like regenerative tourism highlights our dedication to protecting Goa’s natural and cultural heritage while promoting growth.”

Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, added, “Collaborations with partners like VFS Global are crucial to driving growth and fostering a welcoming experience for international travelers. Goa’s unique tourism offerings will continue to set new industry benchmarks.”

Goa Tourism also conducted bilateral discussions with representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic, exploring opportunities to boost tourism between the regions. The meeting with Usubaliev from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Nazgul Akzholova, Chief Specialist of Kyrgyzstan’s Tourism Department, yielded optimistic prospects for future tourism collaborations.
