Berlin tourism witnesses a stable revival: In 2023, about 12.1 million guests visited the capital city of Germany and accounted almost 29.6 million overnight stays. This morning, these data were presented by Franziska Giffey, the Senator for Economic Affairs, Berlin, jointly with Burkhard Kieker, the Managing Director of visitBerlin, at a press conference organized on the Berlin TV tower.
The number of guests increased by almost 16 per cent and the number in terms of overnight stays jumped by almost twelve per cent. To welcome the visitors, a total of 718 accommodation establishments were all set.
Mayor and Senator for Economic Affairs, said that last year was a very fruitful year for the tourism and convention businesses of Berlin. This upward tendency is definitely to endure. In Europe, they are among the top cities together with Paris and London, and Berlin was of late voted as world’s one of the most fascinating places alongside Cape Town and New York.
With over twelve million guests worldwide and in 2023, roughly 30 million overnight stays, the tendency is quite apparent: Berlin is enticing an ever-mounting number of tourists. The cosmopolitanism and culture, creativity and tolerance of the city, the adjoining areas, innovation and financial strength along with its commitment to urban tourism aces up their sleeve.
