GSTC and STB to create new criteria for MICE and attractions

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), along withbacking from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), is creating new standards for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and attractions. The GSTC MICE criteria and GSTC attraction criteria will aid as the worldwide sustainability ethics for both industries.

The GSTC MICE criteria will be established with the contribution of pertinent stakeholders in the area of MICE and will deliverperfect sustainability results that the criterion aims to attain.

The expansion of the GSTC MICE criteria is important to realize the growing demand for sustainable practices in the tourism segment. The MICE sector needs tohighlight sustainability to attain the increasing demand for workable travel choices.
