Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced today that the Gulfstream G700 has received additional certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), following the G700’s FAA type certification on March 29. These new certifications include production and interior supplemental type certifications, which further validate the G700 for customer deliveries and entry into service.

The cabin supplemental type certifications for the G700 officially approve the interior outfitting of the aircraft and its cabin air purification system. Furthermore, the FAA production certification (PC) confirms Gulfstream’s compliance with federal aviation regulations in its production processes for the G700. The PC was issued after a thorough audit of Gulfstream’s engineering, supplier, manufacturing, and quality systems to ensure that the aircraft will be produced in accordance with the FAA-approved design.

“Receiving these additional clearances so quickly on the heels of FAA type certification showcases how mature the G700 program is,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “Thanks to the investments made in advanced manufacturing and interior innovations, operators will benefit from the industry leading quality, fit and finish of the G700. We look forward to our customers experiencing firsthand the cabin comfort and performance capabilities of this fine aircraft.”

The G700 boasts the most expansive cabin in the business aviation sector, featuring the Gulfstream Cabin Experience with its cabin air purification system, 100% fresh air, the industry’s lowest cabin altitude, whisper-quiet sound levels, and 20 of the largest windows in the industry.

Manufactured at Gulfstream’s Savannah headquarters, the G700 is produced alongside all ultra-large and large-cabin aircraft. The production methods for Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet were developed in collaboration with the Savannah-based research and development team, incorporating advanced automation, 3D model designs, and robotic and bonding techniques to achieve unparalleled quality and precision.
