Hainan’s authorities of this Chinese province are actively promoting tourism industry on the island. As per the Hainan Daily newspaper, at least 12 events are proposed to be arranged this summer to boost up the industry with the help of foreign experts.

In July-August, as the newspaper writes, the team from South-East and Central Asia, Europe, Australia and other countries will go on a trip to discover Hainan. The delegations will include experts, journalists, and travel agencies representatives.

Other than famous tourist routes, the Hainan authorities will showcase the visitors about local hotels, restaurants and travel agencies. This is targeted at developing international cooperation in the tourism in future, according to the newsapaper.

Over70 journalists and Australian tourism experts, for instance, have been to Haikou, the province’s administrative center, Sanya, Qionghai on the east coast, and the county of Baoting. The experts investigated Hainan’s hotels, landmarks, golf fields and parks. Also, they got a chance to discover the cycling routes: in spite of the heat, a lot of tourists prefer to rent a bike to see the sights.

The government of China focuses on turning Hainan into an “international center for tourism and consumption” by 2025. The Chinese island is frequently dubbed “Eastern Hawaii” — natural landscapes, rainforests, a developed network of hotels together with white sandy beaches and a coastline stretching along 1,900 km attract visitors from all over the world.

Last year, over 76 mln Chinese and international tourists visited the Island of Hainan which is by 11,8% more than in 2017. The income of the province from tourism industry surged by 14,5% exceeding 95 bln yuan (about $14 bln).
