Hawaiian Airlines Introduces Game-Changing Huaka‘i by Hawaiian Program with Free Checked Bags, Amazing Discounts, and Exclusive Travel Offers

Hawaiian Airlines launches Huaka‘i by Hawaiian, a free program for Hawai‘i residents offering exclusive travel perks, discounts, and special deals.

Hawaiian Airlines has launched Huaka‘i by Hawaiian, a complimentary program designed to bring more value to Hawai‘i residents flying with the state’s hometown airline. Kama‘āina travelers who join the program can enjoy exclusive benefits, including a free checked bag – covering items like surfboards, golf bags, and sports equipment – on Neighbor Island flights, along with a 10% or 20% discount on one Neighbor Island booking per quarter and monthly deals across Hawaiian’s flight network.

To enroll in Huaka‘i by Hawaiian, Hawai‘i residents simply need a HawaiianMiles account with a local Hawai‘i mailing address. Registration is available online at HawaiianAirlines.com/Huakai. Members will receive their first quarterly discount code on December 18, valid for 10% off (or 20% for Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard holders) Neighbor Island bookings for travel starting January 8, 2024. From March 1 onward, new discount codes will be emailed at the beginning of each quarter for one-way or roundtrip tickets in both Coach and First Class.

The complimentary checked bag benefit, which includes specialty items such as surfboards and golf bags, will also be available for Neighbor Island travel beginning January 8. Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard users will continue to enjoy the existing perk of two free checked bags on their bookings.

Beyond Neighbor Island perks, Huaka‘i by Hawaiian members will gain early access to fare discounts for Hawaiian Airlines’ domestic and international routes. Additional details about these deals will be revealed in January, offering members even greater opportunities to save.
