The world’s most famous ice-skating rink has returned to Rockefeller Center for its 87th season! Those seeking to get into the holiday spirit early will hit the ice starting October 21. Between November 1 and January 14, in partnership with Balsam Hill, visitors and skaters can warm up in Rockefeller Center’s cozy skate chalets on the South Esplanade. This year will be the first in which guests can enjoy alcoholic beverages in the chalets, with a soon-to-be announced menu of drinks by Other Half Brewery, served alongside a warming menu of après-skate bites by 21 Greenpoint. The chalets fit up to 6 guests. Tickets for The Rink at Rockefeller Center and reservations for the Après Skate Chalets Presented by Balsam Hill are available now.

Originally designed as a temporary attraction to draw visitors to Rockefeller Center’s outdoor plaza in 1936, The Rink became a permanent fixture in 1939. Since then, it has evolved into one of the city’s most legendary landmarks and one of the top visited sites in Manhattan, hosting more than a quarter of a million skaters annually.

Tickets to The Rink at Rockefeller Center start at $21 per person with discount pricing available for groups of 10 or more, not including skate rentals. Season passes and private events are also available.

This year Balsam Hill will present Rockefeller Center’s cozy winter chalets, located Rink side with incredible views of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Balsam Hill designers will decorate each chalet in a different theme reflecting their wide breadth of holiday décor available this holiday season. In addition, Balsam Hill’s stunningly life-like trees, greenery and décor will be showcased throughout the Center’s Rink Level, and soon to be announced activations will include Family and Kids Day and opportunities to take photos with Santa.

Chalet reservations start at $10, and walkups will be accommodated based on availability. Located on the South Esplanade, facing The Rink at Rockefeller Center and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, the chalets fit up to 6 guests and will be open to the public from 1PM – 10PM in November and 9AM – 10PM in December, and will feature soon-to-be announced menus from Other Half Brewery and 21 Greenpoint.
