Celebrate america’s 250th anniversary with holland america line’s exclusive veteran-designed commemorative cards, available on board.

Holland America Line has collaborated with Crane Stationery to create a special collection of commemorative cards which U.S. veterans designed in honour of America’s 250th anniversary. The exclusive cards will be available for purchase on board starting in April 2026. This partnership combines American heritage with artistic craftsmanship and storytelling to honour the creative work of veterans and the shared history between Holland America Line and Crane Stationery.

Honoring U.S. Veterans through Art and Stationery

Holland America Line’s special partnership with Crane Stationery, a brand with deep American roots, features a unique collection of 12 cards, designed by talented artists from the United States Veterans’ Artists Alliance (USVAA). The veteran artists involved, Lindsay “Bones” Cordero, Amy R. Roberts, and Jen LaVita, each created four distinct designs, with one card dedicated to each of Holland America Line’s 11 ships.

The cards, printed on Crane’s iconic American-made stationery, capture the spirit of America’s rich history and are available for purchase exclusively on Holland America ships. With these cards, guests can purchase an artistic memento that connects them to the legacy of both American heritage and Holland America Line’s tradition of offering unforgettable travel experiences.

Celebrating Legacy and Craftsmanship

Crane Stationery has long been synonymous with American craftsmanship, having been used by historical figures like Paul Revere and Jacqueline Kennedy. The brand’s dedication to quality and tradition is reflected in this commemorative collaboration with Holland America Line. The special cards, crafted by talented U.S. veterans, further enhance the connection between art and heritage, offering guests a tangible way to honor the nation’s 250 years of history.

This collection serves as more than just a keepsake, it’s a tribute to the deep pride and purpose that these veterans bring to their art, as well as a celebration of the enduring impact that Holland America Line and Crane Stationery have had in shaping American culture over the years.

A Special Tribute During the 2026 Grand World Voyage

As part of the 2026 Grand World Voyage aboard Holland America’s Volendam, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a “veterans meet-up.” This special event, open to all veterans aboard the ship, will provide veterans a chance to connect and send well-wishes to others using the commemorative cards. The meet-up will be led by a fellow veteran officer and Holland America’s President, Beth Bodensteiner, who will guide the veterans in sharing messages of support.

This initiative strengthens the sense of community among veterans and creates a meaningful way for them to participate in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, while also reflecting on their own service and artistic contributions.

USVAA: Celebrating the Artistry of Veterans

The United States Veterans’ Artists Alliance (USVAA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military veterans as they transition into the world of art. Founded in 2004, USVAA serves as a vital resource for veterans seeking to explore their creative careers. The collaboration with Holland America Line and Crane Stationery not only recognizes the service of these artists but also highlights their continued contributions to American art and culture.

Lindsay “Bones” Cordero, Amy R. Roberts, and Jen LaVita bring their distinct artistic talents to this collection. Cordero, a former officer in the U.S. Air Force, is a picture book author and illustrator whose work centers around joy and belonging. Roberts, known for her expressive landscape and cityscape paintings, creates stunning visual narratives using an array of everyday materials. LaVita, a U.S. Army veteran, brings vibrant landscapes and animal portraits to life, creating art that reflects her passion for nature and creativity.

Additional Celebrations of America’s 250th Anniversary

Holland America Line is not only partnering with Crane Stationery but also collaborating with other iconic American brands to honor the nation’s 250th birthday. One such partnership is with Pendleton Woolen Mills, which has created an exclusive, Alaska-themed throw blanket. This limited-edition piece, inspired by the majestic Alaskan landscape, will be available for purchase on board Holland America ships sailing in Alaska during 2026.

Additionally, Holland America Line is planning an unforgettable “America’s 250th Celebration: Stars and Stripes” cruise, departing from Boston on July 4, 2026. Guests will be treated to a unique experience that includes witnessing Boston’s iconic fireworks, enjoying a special American picnic on deck, and visiting historic cities that played key roles in shaping the United States.

A Meaningful Tribute to America’s Legacy

Holland America Line’s collaboration with Crane Stationery and USVAA to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary brings together art, heritage, and craftsmanship in a celebration that honors the past while offering guests an unforgettable travel experience. The veteran-designed commemorative cards offer travelers the chance to take home a piece of American history and artistry while enjoying the luxury and adventure of a Holland America voyage.

Holland America Line offers its guests complete travel experiences which include authentic American heritage through its special partnerships and exclusive travel programs.
