Holland America Line

Merely half a year after achieving its highest booking record, Holland America Line outdid itself on January 16, 2024, setting an unprecedented milestone in single-day sales. The bookings on this date surpassed the previous peak on July 11, 2023, by an impressive 18%, marking it as the most substantial sales day in the 150-year history of Holland America Line.

Notably, the cruise line also established a new record for the week ending on January 19, attaining its largest-ever bookings week during the peak “wave” season, a traditionally robust booking peak season for the cruise industry spanning from January to March. A noteworthy aspect is that over one-third of the week’s bookings were dedicated to Holland America Line’s acclaimed Alaska cruises. Additionally, guests displayed forward-thinking behavior, with 22% of reservations made for cruises scheduled in 2025 or beyond.

Gus Antorcha, President of Holland America Line, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Stacking records on top of records is a sign of continued strength for our business and an endorsement from our guests that they are truly having the time of their lives exploring the world with us.” He highlighted the resonance of the cruise line’s position as the leader in visits to Alaska’s glaciers and providing diverse ways to encounter wildlife.

These remarkable achievements coincide with Holland America Line’s ongoing “Time of Your Life” sale, extending until February 29, 2024. During this promotional period, guests booking select summer 2024 through spring 2025 cruises with the “Have It All” premium cruise package enjoy a complimentary stateroom upgrade, fare discounts, free fares for children, and reduced deposits. Early bookers before January 31, 2024, also receive up to $500 per stateroom onboard credit, in addition to the inclusive perks of shore excursions, beverages, specialty dining, and Wi-Fi under the “Have It All” fare.

Holland America Line continues to lead in Alaska, boasting the highest number of Glacier Bay visits in the cruise industry. Through their Alaska Up Close initiative, guests are deeply immersed in local culture through authentic onboard programming, cruise activities, and award-winning shore excursions.

This week, the cruise line introduced its latest offering of Legendary Voyages, a novel category of extended cruises featuring destination-rich itineraries designed to allow guests to savor each location. Looking ahead to 2025, Holland America Line plans to run concurrent voyages of over 120 days, including the 2025 Grand Voyage: Pole-to-Pole and the 2025 Grand World Voyage.
