Hong Kong Tourism Board backs Consensus 2025: City positioned as prime hub for digital innovation

Hong Kong’s endeavor to host prestigious international events gains momentum as the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) throws its weight behind it. Consensus, renowned as the world’s most enduring and impactful cryptocurrency and Web 3 event, is set to take place in Hong Kong from February 19 to 21, 2025 (Consensus Hong Kong 2025). This marks the first time in five years that this influential industry gathering will be held outside the United States. Anticipated to draw 8,000 attendees, with 6,000 hailing from various corners of the globe, the event promises to be a significant convergence of global minds and expertise.

The government and HKTB has jointly provided all-round support to the organiser when
bidding for the event, including lining up the organiser, CoinDesk, and relative parties for
professional advisory, venue liasion, and site inspection arrangement. Mr Kenneth Wong, HKTB
General Manager, MICE and Cruise, said, “We are excited that Consensus makes Hong Kong
its first destination to expand its global footprint beyond North America. It is a vote of confidence
