Collezione Em is delighted to announce the grand opening of Violino d’Oro, an opulent five-star boutique hotel nestled in the enchanting city of Venice, where guests can fully immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of the city’s cultural and artistic heritage. Situated along the picturesque canals, a mere two-minute stroll from the iconic Piazza San Marco, Violino d’Oro is an intimate Italian palazzo meticulously designed to offer an authentic Venetian experience.

Visionary architects Sara and Elena Maestrelli, with over three decades of hospitality expertise, are the creative minds behind Violino d’Oro, proudly emphasizing the esteemed lineage of the Florentine Family, particularly its female members. This new masterpiece reverberates with Venice’s cultural significance, spanning from the 18th century to the vibrant present.

Occupying a historic 17th-century edifice, Violino d’Oro boasts 32 uniquely appointed rooms that stretch from Calle XXII Marzo to Campo San Moisè and along Rio de S. Moisè. The hotel pays homage to Venice’s pivotal role in cultural movements and artistic masterpieces. Its design seamlessly blends a myriad of artistic styles, ranging from ancient art to Oriental influences and contemporary art pieces.

The hotel’s design is a testament to impeccable craftsmanship, evident in its fabrics, glasswork, and floors, including the original Venetian seminato, meticulously handcrafted by one of Venice’s most venerable artisan families. Esteemed brands such as Rubelli, Venini, Martinelli Luce, Gebrüder Thonet, Asin Terrazzieri Veneziani, Richard Ginori, and Cattelan Italia have contributed to the hotel’s design, emphasizing sustainability and a commitment to local craftsmanship.

As you step through Violino d’Oro’s entrance, you’ll be greeted by three magnificent Poliedri chandeliers created by Venini, embodying the essence of Venetian glassmaking. The hotel’s floors narrate a captivating story of Venetian savoir-faire, lovingly crafted using marble pebbles and Carrara cement, underscoring an unwavering dedication to quality and tradition.

At Il Piccolo, Violino d’Oro’s in-house restaurant, Executive Chef Stefano Santo reinterprets Venetian cuisine, with a strong emphasis on plant-based dishes, seasonal ingredients, and local produce. Set in an intimate space overlooking Campo Barozzi, Il Piccolo invites guests to savor the diverse flavors of Venice sustainably. The menu boasts culinary delights such as vegetarian and lagoon-sourced cicchetti, transforming meals into unforgettable experiences.

Chef Santo’s presence at Il Piccolo promises to rekindle Venice’s culinary traditions, firmly establishing Violino d’Oro and Il Piccolo as living embodiments of the city’s illustrious history, vibrant present, and promising future.
